Just like Zguy, who records everything in analog, I painted my cut-out paper pieces with gouache so that the textures, materials, and brushstrokes would come through. I’d like the viewer to make the connection between the simplicity of this unadorned music and the graphic style of the video, as if both had been “homemade,” played and created in a single room.
